HARIJIWAN
Yoga Healing Meditation Music

Harijiwan has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 1975, and today is recognized as one of the foremost teachers of Kundalini Yoga and a master of the sound current of the gong. For many years Harijiwan directly served his teacher, Yogi Bhajan (who introduced Kundalini Yoga to the West in 1968), while traveling the world extensively with him. This opportunity, to study with and observe a living master, provided Harijiwan with invaluable insight into the nature of consciousness and the human condition, as well as a thorough understanding of the impact, interplay and significance of the various planetary and inter-planetary energy fields. Today, and throughout his years as a teacher and healer, Harijiwan remains committed to expanding his knowledge and experience to provide his students and clients with the most progressive, effective, self-empowering approaches that increase over-all joy and wholeness within the context of every day experiences. Harijiwan teaches regularly at Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica and Golden Bridge Yoga in Hollywood.

Among the tools the yogi has to merge the finite with the infinite the gong reigns supreme, and Yogi Bhajan gave the secrets to entering the vast mystic space of the gong to Harijiwan. It is not an ordinary thing to play; it is an art to play the gong. With reverence, through the Naad of the mantra–the harmony of the mind within the waves of sound, in the humility of our devotion, we ask to be allowed to enter into the Aad—the infinite space. The gong is not a drum or a musical instrument. The gong is a beautiful reinforced vibration. It is an inter-vibratory system. It is like a multitude of strings, like playing a million strings.

NILOO GOLSHAN YAMIN
Yoga Healing Meditation

Niloo is a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Certified Y.O.G.A. For Youth Teacher, Certified Kundalini Kriya Teacher, and a Certified Therapeutic Yoga Teacher. Niloo teaches yoga & meditation & holds various workshops at studios in Los Angeles.

Niloo began her yogic exploration at 18 with the study of several modalities, ultimately leading to Kundalini yoga, which became a passion as well as the foundation of her work. Along her journey, Niloo was initiated into the highly potent Kriya yoga by Living Master Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath; Therapeutic Yoga, a restorative and gentle healing practice for returning to oneness. And Harmonyum Healing, the transcendental system of Dr. Michael Joseph Levry.

Yoga has been an integral part of Niloo’s path towards transformational healing after being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and a slew of other maladies in 1998. Continually making conscious choices that enhanced her lifestyle and vitality, Niloo was fortunate to enter into an ongoing practice that has led to thriving health that unites on the physical, mental and spiritual levels. Her classes are all about awareness, compassion, authenticity, empowerment, individuality, self-love, having a sense of humor, having fun and creating a place where students get to know and heal themselves in a safe environment.

Describing her teaching, Niloo tells us that “What I teach is so much more than yoga. By threading together lessons from life’s experiences and my deep curiosity for learning about the mind, body, and spirit, my own practice of yoga has become ever-growing and ever-present in my life—not just within the glow of the yoga studio. The commitment to self-healing is a vital part of life’s unpredictable journey. I would be honored to help guide you along that journey to self-discovery, no matter where you are along your path.

OLIVER HALSMAN ROSENBERG
Artist-In-Residence Healer

Om. This summer Brachfeld Gallery is pleased to present never before seen work and a site-specific instillation by nomadic artist Oliver Halsman Rosenberg, who has been traveling through India for the majority of the last 3 years. Also, during the month of August Rosenberg (as his altar ego: “In Praise of the Void”), will be curating the gallery as a pop-up healing space. Hosting lectures, workshops, happenings, music events, sound-bowl meditations, screenings, and other surprises that will be facilitated by his community of fellow nomadic scholars and practitioners that he met in India. Please check ww.inpraiseofthevoid.tumblr.com for an evolving calendar of events.

Rosenberg has been making works on paper (no larger than the bag he has been living out of) that reflect his inner and outer journey through the illuminating and overwhelming landscapes of India. Themes, techniques, and materials often vary from one body of work to the next. From Sacred Geometry re-mixed to fake spiritual book covers….one location would inspire collages, another painting, and another photography. Trying to use local materials and inspired by folk techniques and motifs, the works shown may include any of the following: hand made dung washed paper, eucalyptus paper, rice paper, incense burns, henna, gouache paint, god eyes, and odds and ends from Indian spiritual ephemera shops. From minimal tantric images, to explosive rainbow energy chaos, to deities emerging from patterns… all that is found in the ever-changing ancient culture and land of India is also reflected in the body and mind.
